Well since my last post, we have done some socializing, some playing at the ballpark working on fetching, and some basic work at home. She has been a very very good girl. We have been working on sits, downs, and stays. Today she did very good during her last mini session. She really focused on me for a few minutes. We even had two REALLY great stays!!! One small step towards greatness.. hehe
She has not been scared when I have been taking her places, she went to the Christmas party at Rachel's and she did wonderful...she was VERY excited about the people and dogs. So we definitely dont have a shy puppy that is for sure. She loves anyone and everyone.
Rachel really likes her and says she already is a MUCH better match for me.
I am 100% happy with her and definitely found the right dog. I love her to absolute death.
She will be going to all the shows with me most likely so she can get used to the scene. Im sure she will love it out there as she loves where the most people are!
I have not done ANY agility with her yet. I feel like I want to make the bond very strong between me and her, and do all the foundation work. I dont want to rush this. I have Yoshi to do agility with and if she needs a lot of foundation work before agility, then I am not going to rush anything. I might teach her the tunnel and simple things like that just to introduce "agility type exercises" but wont really do too much, just let her have fun with the experience. I might teach her how to go in between standards and also start her with learning to back up and also walk through the ladder so she starts figuring her hind end out. When we get solid sits, downs, and stays. I am going to start teaching directional sort of things and tricks. My mistake with Yoshi, is I did not plan on him being fast as he was not very fast in the beginning.. now I wish he was good with directionals and the "back" command!!!! My girlie is going to get all her edumacation the right way... no cutting corners!! =)
